Set It and Forget It!

Analog and Digital Heat Siphon models both have the same user interface design philosophy:

KEEP IT SIMPLE

ANALOG MODELS

There is just one Knob - You turn the dial all the way to max and let Heat Siphon heat your pool to temperature. Then gradually turn counterclockwise until your unit shuts off - This is the knob position that represents yout desired temperature. From now on your pool will be kept at that temperature automatically.

DIGITAL MODELS - JUST 2 BUTTONS

The Digital Heat Siphon models have a 4-digit bright LED display that continuously shows you the water temperature and the temperature set-point for the current mode (pool or spa). There are two separate set-points stored - pool & spa - select either at any time.

TO KEEP IT SIMPLE, the new DIGITAL Heat Siphon has just two buttons - UP and DOWN. Setting the water temperature and switching modes (pool or spa or EC) are simple:

• CHANGE the TEMPERATURE - just push and release either button and the current set-point flashes on and off for 3 seconds. Press UP or DOWN to raise or lower the set-point. After 3 seconds a beep tells you it has accepted your new set-point. Simple enough - DONE.
• SWITCH TO POOL (or SPA) SETPOINT -Press BOTH "UP" and "DOWN" at the same time and release. The display will flash the current mode ("PooL" or "SPA" or "EC" or "OFF") .Then press either key until the mode you want is displayed. In 3 seconds a beep tells you the displayed mode is selected.

Our first Heat Siphon model back in 1982 had just one knob with numbers from one to ten around the dial face.

Beside it were the simple operating instructions right on the label.

Basically it said, just turn the knob up all the way to 10 and let it run all day.

When the pool gets as warm as you like it, then turn the knob down (counterclockwise) slowly until your Heat Siphon shut off.

THEN DON'T MESS WITH IT AGAIN! Well, it didn't quite say that, but you get the idea.

Today our Analog models still use that same single knob and our analog customers love it (or we would have changed it).

Three Digital Modes with just 3 Buttons!

All Heat Siphon Digital models have three modes - POOL, SPA and EC:

POOL-Heats to Pool set-point

SPA - Heats to Spa set-point

EC MODE- External Control

EC Mode is designed to allow any External Controller turn your Heat Siphon off or on.

While it is "ON" in this mode it will still heat the water to the set-point you have entered.

Most users set the Player to the maximum setpoint and then allow the external controller to use it's thermostat and pool water temp sensor to control the Heat Siphon and shut it off when that temperature is reached.

Any error conditions are reported and their codes are listed right there on the faceplate so you don't need a manual to tell what they mean.
